_TESTING THE (2ND) BEDROOM SETUP

couple things.

• gonna be a little while before this is the go to setup. most DAWs are principally similar- if not identical- to one another, but that doesn’t make transitioning from one to the next any easier. especially considering the amount of sampling i do, going from FL Studio to Logic Pro can be day and night for the uninclined. (me.)
• it sounds REALLY good. the Saffire’s converters are really clean and the Logic engine is top-notch. i could get used to this.
• omg. my CPU is maxing out really quickly. that REALLY bothers me. anybody who knows, does OSX10.5 have a higher CPU hit than Tiger did? i’m running 3 or 4 plugs with effects. play a basic major 7th chord with sustain and it’s at 80% in NO time. ugh.
• my room is so cozy.

i played around with a Syreeta record, and this is what i came up with after an hour of getting myself acquainted (yes i’ve had Logic for probably 5 months. NO i haven’t used it, really.)

the impatient part of me (the lion’s share) is dreading the learning curve. i don’t read manuals aside from acute issues, so this is gonna be an exercise in trial & error. the patient part of me is excited to get home tomorrow after work and play around. there’s just not much time for that because there is music to be made.

i’ll keep those who care posted, though.
