_…SO WHAT HAPPENED?!

long story, man.

it all starts on an ambitious lark a few days ago. September 10th, to be exact. i decided i was going to go ahead and jump into a political blog i had been contemplating for a few months. you may remember me mentioning it.i have the space, figured i’d add a simple subdomain and get started on blogging.

in my hastiness to roll out the new venture, i neglected to read the directions on the box. couple that with some kooky MediaTemple infrastructural particulars, and you’ve got a young man unknowingly writing over and ultimately deleting the wordpress database that houses his aggregate work of nearly a year and a half.

i’ve chronicled my existence via blog since around 2001. i lost my diaryland scribblings from that year and early 2002 within a year, they didn’t let too much time pass before they deleted inactive accounts. since then, though, i’ve had a running account of my life.

now there’s a gap. that’s not so much a problem, until you add that this is probably the busiest my life has been, particularly with the music. i was able to restore the april of last year through may of this year just because i had left offthebooks up and running. (i very literally almost deleted it for good about 2 weeks ago, in fact i have the wordpress deletion confirmation request link sitting in my GMail inbox as i type)

so, i’m hurt.

but gotsta keep on gettin up. i didn’t peak between may and september of this ‘08 right?

hardly.

still hurts tho.
